Possible Male Kittens
Percentages among male kittens
Predict kitten coat colors, patterns and inherited traits from the sire and dam. Results are calculated separately for male and female kittens and include hidden carrier chances.
Known genotype mode
Select the genotype or tested carrier status for each locus. Every result uses the exact selections below.
Exact prediction
Choose both parents and calculate the expected coat outcomes.

Hidden inheritance
These probabilities describe kittens that inherit one recessive allele while showing a different visible phenotype.
How the calculation works
The calculator creates parental gametes and combines them with a Punnett-square calculation at every selected locus.
Sex-linked orange, dilution, agouti, tabby, colorpoint and KIT white effects are applied in phenotype order.
Different genotypes that produce the same visible coat are combined into one outcome with a total probability.
Why sex matters
Male kittens receive their X chromosome from the dam. Female kittens receive one X chromosome from each parent, so an orange sire passes his orange X chromosome to every daughter.
Reading the result
A 25% outcome means each kitten has a one-in-four theoretical chance for that result. A litter does not need to match the percentages exactly.
