ISSN barcode structure

An ISSN barcode uses the GS1 prefix 977, the first seven digits of the ISSN, a two-digit publisher variant, and a newly calculated GTIN-13 check digit. Optional EAN-2 and EAN-5 add-ons can carry issue-specific information. The generated SVG keeps the barcode vector-based for clean placement in page-layout and design software.
